The patient is a young caucasian woman, age 20, of good physical health with no abnormalities in her medical or mental health history. She initially came to my office after a recommendation from her family doctor, complaining of insomnia and mild tiredness.
After further interviews, I have been unable to diagnose any major disorder. Patient described recurring mildly disturbing dreams, along with some minor anxiety. The anxiety may stem from seeing rabbit stew on the menu on a recent family outing. Subject has a pet rabbit.
Sending recommendation that the patient practice self-talk and chamomile tea to ease sleeping.
